Shower cubicles, also known as shower enclosures or shower stalls, are self-contained units designed to contain and direct water during showering.

  1. Shower Head: The primary component of any shower, the shower head disperses water for bathing. It may come in various styles such as fixed overhead, handheld, or adjustable.
  2. Faucet Controls: These are the knobs or levers that control the water flow and temperature. They allow users to adjust the water pressure and temperature to their preference.
  3. Shower Tray/Base: This is the bottom surface of the cubicle where you stand during the shower. It is designed to collect and drain water efficiently. Shower trays can be made of various materials like acrylic, fiberglass, or porcelain.
  4. Enclosure Walls: These are the walls of the cubicle that provide privacy and contain the water within the shower area. They can be made of glass, acrylic, fiberglass, or other waterproof materials.
  5. Doors: In some designs, especially for larger shower enclosures, there are doors for entry and exit. These can slide, pivot, or swing open, depending on the design.
  6. Seals and Gaskets: These are used to ensure that water does not leak out of the shower cubicle. They are usually made of rubber or silicone and are placed around the edges of the doors and between panels.
  7. Shelving or Built-in Storage: Some shower cubicles may have shelves or built-in storage niches for holding bathing essentials such as shampoo, soap, and conditioner.
